Handmade Holidays : GIFTS

It's been way too long since I have posted, but I swear I have been really busy. The kids are home for the week, the toys are everywhere, and my insanity has visited. We were able to make some really great gifts for friends and family for the holidays. Here are just a few.

8x8 shadow box (WM), Used Batman to stretch out the bat logo in the back. I crumbled and inked aluminum foil in the far back for a metal look. Added grey and then navy to outline the logo. Used PS for the "M" and the character was also from Batman. I think it turned out great!
This was for my Superhero Godson, who lives too far away from me.

I love how detailed these cuts are.

Here's the card that went with his gift. Remember the pack of cards at M's that were 60% off (40¢, that's right!!), I used one of those and layered it up with paper. Used Simply Charmed for Santa, and a Studio G clear stamp. Very simple, but adorable.

And who could resist making anything that Greenbean has posted on her blog???

The kids and I stirred up some hand scrub for their teachers and all the women in the family. Everyone loved them...so thanks, Carrie!!

I used the same soap that Carrie had used, it smells wonderful!! A quilted canning jar, covered the lid with a simple circle, scalloped circle and another circle. All with inked edges and a sentiment from Creative Cafe stamps. The front tag is made with Gypsy Wanderings and twine tied around the jar. Such a simple, handmade gift that everyone will love!

What kind of homemade gifts did you make??
