Roses are....pink!

Last week I cleaned and cleaned, just waiting for some Spring air to hit me.   Finally on Thursday we got a bit of sun to shine down on us.  It was wonderful.   The girls and I were taking a walk, looking at flowers that were in bloom and loving every second of it.   I just can not wait to spend all day long OUTSIDE!!!

When I sat down to make some more cards, at first I was thinking I'd work on some Mother's Day cards.  In the end, it became an "anytime" card.

I was a little unsure how this cut worked, so I ended up coloring in, which I'm not sure I completely love...but now I know how this cut works and I can now make many many more.

I used Recollection and K&Co Papers
Rock Princess for the rose {3.5"}
Storybook for the label shape {3.75"}
lots of ink and pop dots
I embossed the mat with a Cuttlebug folder {if only I knew the name of it....anyone??}

As you can see, I cut the first part of this in white, thinking that there would only be a few white spots, which I was ok with.  Not the case.  So to cover it up, I tried to blend it in with some inks.  Not sure I love it very much...but hey, it's another card to add to the stash!!

I think the card turned out great! I don't see a ton of white. :) The cuttlebug folder is from the simply charmed companion set. I had to look it up because I want it! LOL :)
