Another Easel Card

Last week a friend of mine asked me if I could make her an easel card for her new nephew.  Of course I said yes and got right to work on it. {I was actually doing nothing at the time}

The only things she told me was this was for a baby boy and his name was Evan.  She wanted an easel card so that it could maybe be displayed in his room on a shelf.

Here is the front of the card.
This is a 5.5" square easel card.

Recollections, Core'dinations and DCWV papers
Kraft for the base of the card, white mat and patterned paper for the background.
I used my crop a dile to insert the eyelets and tie bakers twine before I adhered the mat down
Cut the banner from Birthday Bash {1.25"}
Letters are from Birthday Bash also {.75"}

The monkey is cut from Life's A Party {5"}
the original cut has the branch attached to his legs, I hand cut that off.I also cut two of the top layers, so that I could ink and pop it up for dimension

You can see here that I laid the monkey down before the banners so that his tail could hang off of the twine too.

With the card open

I used Twinkle Toes for the label shapes, popping up the scallop oval to help hold the card in place.
Used the same patterned papers from the front to coordinate.

Sentiment is from SU!

♥ Welcome to the world baby Evan ♥
