Layered Cake Skirt

During my morning blog hopping, I came across a tutorial for making this adorable skirt.

Prudent Baby has some of the greatest sewing tutorials out there. They are very easy to follow. As far as sewing goes...I am a beginner. If I can do it, anyone can!

Made this skirt for Emily to wear to her Valentine's Day party at school. We'll probably make a matching shirt soon. Normally you'd make this with a cotton or other apparel type fabric. I tried it out with FLEECE! A little harder to do, but since it's so stinkin' cold out, I wanted to add some warmth. I love it, she loves it...{and that's all what really matters}.
