Gingy's

SUPER DUPER thanks to Carrie at greenbean's crafterole for mentioning the gingerbread flavored marshmallows. I was out for my morning grocery run and saw them at Walmart. I picked up a few bags and thought we would make some Gingy's to watch with Shrek tonight.

My youngest, Madeline, wanted to be a CHEF and help out. So all the real work was in her hands. Emily decorated them when she got home from school. Emily had also made gingerbreads at school today, so she was all excited we were doing the same thing.

I am sure you all know how to make rice crispy treats...... but I took pictures anyway!

1 bag of marshmallows, 4 cups of rice crispys, 3 tsp of butter (not pictured) cookie icings,
and a gingerbread cut out.

Melt your butter

Add your marshmallows

Have your "little chef" on standby

I just realized I didn't snap a pic when the cripsys went in.
So next you'd add those and mix, mix, mix!!

I flatten my out onto a shallow cookie sheet

Cookie cuttered (ha!) them out and let sit to cool down. I did cut them out before they sat in the pan. This way it was still warm enough to keep flatten the scraps to make more.

Emily decorated with the cookie icing and the writing icings.

DELICIOUS!!!

Thanks Carrie for all your WONDERFUL ideas
Be sure you have checked out her blog...she is amazing!
