The robins are out!

I remember when I was little being told that as soon as you see the robins, spring is here!  Well, I have seen them for the last few weeks and the temperature begs to differ!

It's been fun to sit with the girls and watch the birds digging at the ground and staying out of the wind on our front porch.   Of course Madeline thinks she should be allowed to let them inside so she can be their mommy.  I don't think so.    Instead, we made our own birdies.   They drew and cut some out while I assembled a card.

This is a A2 card, cut from 12x12.  I cut this 4.25" x 11 long so that this would be a portrait card opening from the bottom.

Recollection, Jillianbean Soup, Core'dinations cardstock
Simply Charmed cart Bird {2"} and flipped smaller flying bird {1.5"}
I love the pearl cardstock from Core'dinations, it has the perfect shimmer
I inked around the entire bird to blend the brown and grey together

I used my sewing machine to stitch around the card before apply the mat
I pleated offray ribbon across the card and added a pearl sticker to the end
Sentiment is from Studio G

Let's hope we all see some more robins and a lot more sunshine!!
