It's not trash!!

I am sure I am not the only one who treats their cardstock and patterned papers like GOLD {am I?}
After every cut I make, I set the "negative" aside and when I am finished with my project I will go back to that pile and trim off the cut, and put the rest in my scrap drawers or give it to the girls to use.  I keep the tiniest pieces, it's a little crazy. {but it's the perfect sizes for the girls to make something or just cut up.}

ANYWAY....
Sometimes you need to think about what you are throwing away, before you toss it.

A few weeks ago on the Cricut Circle Blog, there was a post that used the negative of a cut as a background for a layout.  It looked great.   So while I was tossing, I noticed one that wasn't trash!

This is a 5.5" square card that was purchased in a pack at Michaels.  I bought them to alter the fronts of them for different occasions.

I layered the front of the card with hand cut papers from Recollections and K&Company
I used the negative from some cuts I had made of flowers with the Mother's Day Bouquet Cart {.75" auto fill}
I cut it down to the size I liked and used some cut up 3D foam dots to place between the patterned paper and the flowers.
I used a scrap of pink that I had {perfect size} for the sentiment and added some brads to the side
Sentiment is from TPC

Just remember, think twice before you throw away all those scraps!!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Your card is very nice...I love that patterned paper you used. TFS! When you said you used the negative cut, I immediately thought of Capadia. She's always showing ways to use the 'leftovers' from cuts. I save mine too. ;o)
