Sew Happy!

I spent last week cleaning out the kids drawers and closets. Seems my youngest has been still wearing 12 month jammies.....she's 2 1/2! I am not sure what I am thinking when I'm folding the clothes, other than I know she likes them. So I went down to the basement where I knew I had a HUGE tote filled with fleece, flannel, and that soft minky material ( We went through our blanket phase last year), and went to work. Now, I am by NO MEANS a seamstress.....but I try! I did it! I made them some of the cutest pajama pants. Then I used the Expression to cut out some things from the same fabric and used heat n bond and put them on plain long sleeve white T's. Adorable!

Now that their drawers are now filled with new jammies, I thought I would make a pair for two little special boys. Drew and Chance. If you know Dawn, then you know Drew and Chance. So many of you out there have been so nice and sent these boys things, and I know that they love it.

Here's a pic of Drew's

Don't pick on the sewing....I told you I am NOT good!

All wrapped up.

Not too much Cricut here, but I did use PS at 6" for the letters on the shirt. Brown felt and the same flannel for the pants. I also used PS for the tag, SU! ribbon and solid cardstock for the band, just scored around to fit.

I took a pair of my older daughters, folded them in half and drew out the shape. Now that I have this "pattern" I just keep making the waist and legs longer or shorter.
I will post a step by step soon!

Those are so cute and you must have looked at most of my scrap pages of the grandsons, most are blue and brown LOL Love those colors. Thank you so much and I promise to send you a picture. I'm sure he will have his santa hat on though since he loves that silly hat so much.
