Pinkalicious

After Emily came home from school today, Madeline asked her to read Pinkalicious to her.   Of course Emily can not read yet, but she is great at narrating the pictures.   

If you are not familiar with the book, Pinkalicious turned pink after eating too many pink cupcakes.  Inquiring girly minds needed to know if you will REALLY turn pink.  So off to the kitchen we went to bake up some pink cupcakes.

The girls did all the work, I just cleaned up the mess!  Have you ever colored your cake mix??  It's super easy.   Any white cake mix and add in the food dye gels {not the liquid drops} for really vibrant colors. 

They can get really bright,  you don't need to add much at all.

I didn't make pink frosting and I am still hearing about it!!  We added some heart marshmallows we had waiting for us to use.

All we were missing were some cupcake wrapper sleeves from the Cricut, but they didn't want to wait any longer.  And to answer the question..............no, my girls are not pink!
